Collection Electric Anagama
Handdug wild papa aroha clay from the coromandel, these handthrown bottles are a result of a woodfirer stuck with an electric kiln. Pushing boundaries and known limitations within electric firing, these have been reduced in a commonly known oxidised atmosphere. A newly explored technique within ceramics.
Techniques used were inspired by two recent trips to Japan, they work better as a collection as they were fired together in this newly created technique that per chance in the first firing worked out well!
So much rich texture and depth in these pieces, they were hard to photograph. Dark charcoal blacks blending into violets, blues, and greens. These bottles are a statement piece which hold space for our important soils in New Zealand and trying to showcase and maximise their qualities.
Pourus and delicate, each stands roughly 12cm tall and 6cm wide.
Price is for 5 bottles
